🍰 About Your Edible Cake Wrap
A cake wrap is a thin layer of icing sheet, sometimes called sugar paper, printed with food-grade edible inks on a food-safe printer. Think of it as stickers for your cake! Each sheet measures 11.7″ × 8.32″ and can be trimmed to fit 4 – 12″ round cakes with heights ranging from 4 – 8″. When you select your cake size, we send the correct number of sheets or strips. Slight overlap between strips is normal and ensures complete coverage.Example: 4 - 6"round by 4" high cake = 2 strips trimmed from one A4 sheet.
- How to Apply
1. If your cake is refrigerated, bring it to room temperature.
2. Peel the wrap gently from its backing.
3. Press the sheet gently onto the cake.
4. Smooth seams lightly with clean, dry hands. You may need to add a drop of water to seal the seams.
Buttercream or fondant works best. The wrap will soften against frosting, meld beautifully, and stay easy to slice when serving. Wraps are great for dummy cakes, and you can use a thin layer of piping gel to attach them.
🧺 Storage, Shelf Life & Ingredients
Store sheets flat, sealed, and out of direct light, in the envelope they arrived in. Do not refrigerate or freeze. Shelf life is approximately 6–12 months, but they perform best within 2–3 weeks after printing for maximum flexibility and colour vibrancy. Icing sheets are dairy-free, gluten-free, egg-free, and nut-free.
